GNZ strengthens digital access for individuals in recovery, reentry, transitional housing, and underserved communities throughout Houston. Our Digital Access & Technology Empowerment program(s) ensures participants have the tools and support needed to succeed in today’s technology-driven world.
Services include:
• Access to laptops, tablets, and essential digital devices
• Support for obtaining affordable home internet
• On-site computer access at GNZ mobile units, partner locations and God’s Neutral Zone Campus
• Digital navigation assistance
• Technology coaching for education, employment, and daily life tasksThis program positions GNZ as a community resource hub for digital advancement, helping participants build confidence and independence through technology.
GED Preparation & College Readiness
GNZ provides structured academic support for adults seeking to complete their high school equivalency and transition into higher education.
Program Components Include:
• Instructor-supported GED preparation
• Digital literacy skills needed for online testing
• College readiness workshops
• Assistance with FAFSA, admissions, and enrollment
• Direct pathways to Houston Community College and other local education partnersThis program aligns students with workforce development goals and supports individuals preparing for long-term career advancement.
Workforce Readiness & Career Pathways
GNZ prepares participants for employment through a comprehensive workforce readiness model that builds both technical and professional skills.

• Resume writing

• Interview preparation
• Workplace professionalism
• Time management
• Customer service skills
• Basic computer skills (typing, navigation, file management)

Vocational Rehabilitation & Skills Development
GNZ supports individuals with barriers to employment by providing structured skill-building and individualized support. Introduction to industry-specific skills, vocational training (Construction , Carpentry, HVAC, Automotive Basics, Computer Support, Healthcare, and more)
Services include:
• Skills assessments
• Accommodations and accessibility support
• Digital tools for job search and training
• Training referrals
• Case management and goal planning
• Support for individuals with disabilities, justice-involved individuals, and those rebuilding stability after recoveryThis program strengthens participants’ ability to secure and maintain employment while addressing personal and environmental barriers.
Reentry Support & Transitional Pathways
GNZ provides a stable, supportive environment for individuals returning from incarceration. Our reentry services promote long-term success through education, employment, and life-skills development.

GNZ provides safe, structured, and meaningful recreational opportunities that strengthen community connection and support personal growth. Our recreation and community activities are designed to promote healthy social engagement, build confidence, and create positive experiences for individuals in recovery, reentry, and transitional living.
